Privacy Policy

We collect only what is needed to operate the product:

• Account data — email address and authentication credentials managed by our auth provider.
• Resume content — sections you enter (personal info, education, experience, projects, skills, certifications, links).
• Uploaded files — PDFs, DOCX, or images you import for parsing.
• Usage data — feature counts (AI analyses, STAR optimizations, interview prep runs) used for quota enforcement.
• Technical logs — minimal request metadata for error diagnosis.

• To render, save, and export your resumes.
• To run keyword and AI analyses on job descriptions you submit.
• To generate interview questions and STAR-format bullet suggestions.
• To enforce plan limits and prevent abuse.
• To respond to support requests you initiate.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use your resume content to train third-party foundation models.

When you use AI features (Job Description Analyzer, STAR Optimizer, Resume Critique, Interview Prep, AI-assisted import), the relevant text is sent to third-party model providers (including Groq, GitHub Models, and Google Gemini) strictly to return the requested result. Providers process the prompt transiently and are bound by their own privacy terms.

Account data, resumes, and uploads are stored in our managed backend with row-level security: only your authenticated session can read or modify your records. Transport is encrypted via HTTPS. Uploaded import files live in a private storage bucket accessible only to you.

Your resumes remain available until you delete them or close your account. You can delete any resume from the dashboard at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, email the contact below; we will action the request within 30 days.

You can:

• Access your data through the dashboard at any time.
• Export resumes as PDF.
• Correct or update any field through the resume editor or settings.
• Request deletion of your account and stored content.

We use local storage to keep your session active between visits. We do not run third-party advertising trackers or cross-site analytics pixels.

Resume Engineer is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age.

When we materially change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, notify you via email or an in-app banner.
